A reputable finance organization based in Johannesburg North seeks an experienced accountant to lead financial reporting and mentoring of junior staff. The ideal candidate has a BCom degree (Honours preferred) and 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in engineering settings. Responsibilities include budgeting, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and supporting strategic decisions. Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience required.
• Experience in engineering environments is highly advantageous.

Duties

• Lead month-end and year-end reporting
• Provide management commentary and financial analysis
• Supervise reconciliations, accruals, and complex transactions
• Lead budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure internal controls, audit compliance, and process improvements
• Mentor or guide junior accountants
• Oversee AR and AP processes
• Support strategic decision-making

Skills & Experience

• BCom Degree (Honours preferred)
• Minimum 5+ years’ accounting experience
• Experience within Engineering environments is highly advantageous
• Experience supervising junior staff or leading finance functions
