Duties & Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a dynamic Senior Finance Reporting Coordinator to step into a pivotal role as the 2IC to our esteemed CFO, with a primary focus on spearheading special projects that will shape the future of our financial landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the budgeting and forecasting processes within the Short Term Insurance context, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision‑making and business planning.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare board packs and facilitate presentations for senior management forums, providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Drive the management reporting process, delivering timely and accurate financial information to key stakeholders.
  • Lead the Annual Financial Statements process, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors to ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Engage and manage relationships with internal and external audit stakeholders, facilitating audits and addressing findings promptly.
  • Utilize strong project management skills to oversee and execute finance‑related projects, ensuring on‑time delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications

  • CTACA (SA)
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in senior finance roles within the Insurance industry.
  • In‑depth knowledge and expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, internal controls, board pack preparation, management reporting, annual financial statements, audit management, and project management within a finance context.
  • Demonstrated success in navigating complex functional environments and delivering results.
