Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Finance Manager or equivalent role within the insurance or financial services sector.
• Strong experience in month-end and year-end close processes and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end processes and prepare financial statements.
• Execute assigned financial tasks independently.
• Prepare and review financial statements and regulatory submissions.

Skills

Excellent knowledge of South African insurance regulations

Financial systems proficiency (Oracle, SAP, Xero)

Advanced Excel and data analysis skills

Strong reconciliation and analytical problem-solving ability

Effective communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders

Self-motivated and autonomous work capability

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent

SAICA or SAIPA membership preferred
