A multi entity company are seeking a Senior Finance Manager for a permanent role based in Port Elizabeth Eastern Cape.

Overview
Responsibilities

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria :

  • Qualified CA (SA) or equivalent qualification who is highly proficient in financial modelling and valuations
  • Must have a deep understanding of accounting standards (IFRS) and a proven ability to manage complex administrative and audit processes
  • 5 years post article experience in a similar hands-on role within an investment holding or multi-entity company
  • A background in which the candidate was directly responsible for detailed financial processes is crucial

The successful applicant would be responsible for but not limited to :

Oversight and governance (internal and external):

  • Internal audit lead audit function; approve audit plan; actively manage process; review findings; ensure weaknesses are rectified
  • External audit oversight; detailed review and ownership of audit files; handle queries
  • Administration oversee and involved in detailed administration of corporate governance

Support financial reporting :

  • Detailed review financial report review; analysis of all management accounts & board packs
  • Analysis in depth financial analysis and offer insights to CFO

Support M&A (Valuations) :

  • Hands on valuations building and refining business valuation models
  • Due diligence actively lead the financial due diligence process; examine financial reports and data rooms; identify potential risks
