Introduction

Our client in Johannesburg is looking for Senior Finance Manager - CA(SA) to start immediately for a fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Develop and oversee financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business planning. Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Project Management: Lead and manage cross-functional projects related to finance, operations, and strategic initiatives. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring successful execution and delivery within scope, timeline, and budget constraints. Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to define project objectives, milestones, and success criteria.
• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and presentations for senior management, board of directors, and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls. Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and financial reviews.
• Process Improvement and Optimisation: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices. Drive initiatives to optimise working capital, cash flow management, and cost control. Implement financial systems and tools to support automation and scalability.
• Leadership and Team Development: Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Provide guidance and support to junior staff, promoting collaboration and teamwork. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, offering strategic insights and financial expertise.

Desired Experience & Qualification

CA (SA) and proven experience in senior finance management roles, with a focus on financial planning and analysis, project management, and process improvement. Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional projects and driving results in a fast‑paced environment. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and Excel / accounting software. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Strong leadership qualities with a track record of developing and motivating high‑performing teams.
