Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage cash flow and monthly cash flow planning and analysis.
• Lead bi-weekly debtor meetings to ensure timely collection of funds.
• Ensure effective month-end procedures and financial reporting.

Job description

Job Function

To provide expertise and advise to support the development of operational implementation plans and associated service delivery processes, methods and techniques and to perform, keep track of and report on the financial transactions of a business unit in accordance with financial policies and regulations, enabling informed management decision making and contributing to client/customer satisfaction, optimal profitability, reduced risk and compliance to regulatory and legislative requirements.

Key Performance Areas

Cash Flow Management

• Daily review of cash flow.
• Monthly cashflow planning and analysis.

Banking

• Management of company banking requirements
• Management of company online banking profiles
• Authorisation and review of payments to suppliers

Debtors & Revenue

• Leading bi-weekly debtor meetings between general managers and finance team.
• Assist with queries to ensure timely collection of funds.
• Review of ageing to ensure clean analysis.
• Attend client meetings to obtain resolution on queries and maintain client relationships.

Creditors & Expenses

• Release of purchase orders based on company authorisation levels.
• Review and release of supplier banking details loaded on the banking system.
• Review and release of payments to suppliers.
• Review of creditors reconciliation from time by time signed off by the accountants.

Month End

• Ensure 100% completion of import files for revenue with the payroll department
• Effective and timely month end assistance to all team members
• General ledger reconciliations review
• Submission of monthly Hyperion pack / FCCS to DPW Head Office
• Clear validations between intercompany debtors and creditors
• Sign off journals of team members based on company levels of authorisation
• Sign off credit note listings

Budget & Forecast

• Submission of Hyperion/FCCS for budget/forecast pack to DPW Head Office
• Preparation of Working capital for budget/forecast

Taxation

• Monthly preparation and submission of the VAT return to SARS
• Monthly preparation of the taxation section on Hyperion/FCCS
• Calculation and reconciliation of final taxation for the financial year ended
• Calculation and reconciliation of provision taxation payments to DPW Head Office and SARS

Projects

• Plan, manage and implement new projects in finance
• Manage ERP user access, SOD and BI Reporting

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's or equivalent 3-year degree in Finance/Accounting
• Post Graduate Qualification in Finance / Accounting
• (CA) SA preferred
• CIMA preferred

Experience and Skills Required

• 6-10 years’ experience in finance, reporting and managing teams.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
