Job DescriptionAre you a strategic financial leader ready to drive performance and shape the financial future of a dynamic organisation?

A leading client within the Group Finance & Assurance space is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role reports directly to the Head of Reporting and plays a pivotal part in leading finance operations, overseeing balance sheet management, and driving operating expense efficiency to support key business decisions.The successful candidate will head a consolidated finance portfolio encompassing External Partner Functions, Balance Sheet Management, and Opex Management, while leading a talented team of Management Accountants and Junior Management Accountants.

This is an opportunity to influence strategic direction, ensure robust financial governance, and deliver meaningful insights that shape business outcomes.

Key Duties

• Act as a finance business partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate reporting and performance analysis.
• Oversee month-end journals, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis processes.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and contribute to risk and liquidity management.
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives within finance operations.
• Partner with external stakeholders and ensure financial accuracy in partner-related activities.
• Oversee Opex budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Provide detailed commentary on monthly results, analysing profitability, trends, and performance.
• Support Exco members in managing operational expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure timely preparation and posting of journals to meet month-end deadlines.

Requirements

• Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant).
• Minimum 8 years' experience in finance operations, management accounting, and financial control.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS17.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated experience in automation and process improvement.
• Proven leadership ability and experience managing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
• Strategic mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
