Job summary

Resources Partners Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Technician to install, calibrate and service industrial instrumentation across level, flow, pressure, temperature and analytical systems. The role involves field support, fault finding and preparing detailed service reports.

The candidate must have instrumentation trade qualifications, undergo travel across South Africa and neighbouring countries, and maintain high customer service standards while developing junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Instrumentation Trade Test.
• N6 qualification, preferably including Process Instrumentation.
• N4 is the minimum requirement where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily instrumentation repairs, customer call-outs and breakdown support.
• Carry out routine, breakdown and shutdown maintenance activities.
• Install, test, configure and calibrate industrial instrumentation.
• Perform setup and calibration on Rosemount, Micro Motion, Brooks, Flexim and PST instrumentation.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot process control and instrumentation equipment.
• Complete physical repairs and calibration of instrumentation products.
• Conduct quality inspections on completed repairs to ensure equipment meets required standards.
• Assist with the preparation of technical quotations where required.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and prepare detailed service reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure a professional service experience.
• Travel to customer sites throughout South Africa and neighbouring countries as required.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer and support to Junior Technicians.
• Develop the skills required to diagnose and repair more advanced instrumentation and control equipment.
• Gain exposure to and progressively take responsibility for complex equipment (analytical gas analysers, tank gauging systems, custody transfer).
• Follow all relevant company procedures, quality requirements and safety standards.
