Job summary

Craven Cottage CC is seeking a seasoned Senior Field Guide for a premier lodge in Madikwe, South Africa. You will lead guests on twice-daily game drives, host meals, and conduct walking safaris while assisting with vehicle cleanings and lodge maintenance.

Requirements include Grade 12, an established Senior Field Guide background at a 5* Big-5 reserve, FGASA L1/L2, Lead Trails, ARH, and exceptional communication and entertaining skills. This is a full-time on-site position at a luxury game lodge.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• At least a Senior Field Guide with 5* or Big-5 reserve experience.
• Minimum FGASA Level 1 or 2 qualification or equivalent.
• Lead Trails Certificate and ability to conduct bush walks.
• ARH certification is required.
• Excellent communication and entertaining skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Take guests on twice daily game drives.
• Host guests at meals.
• Conduct walking safaris.
• Pickup/drop-off guests and transport luggage to rooms.
• Assist tracker with cleaning the vehicle.
• Assist with emergency maintenance.
• Assist with lodge maintenance.
