About the Role Our client, a leading firm in industrial automation and control systems, is actively seeking a highly competent Senior Electrical Systems Engineer for their operations based in Vereeniging. This role is central to the design, implementation, and optimization of sophisticated electrical systems within industrial manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in designing and integrating electrical controls, PLCs, SCADA, and ensuring system reliability and performance. This is a hybrid role, allowing for a flexible combination of remote work and essential on-site activities, including project execution and client interaction. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex electrical control systems for industrial automation applications.
• Specify and select electrical components, PLCs, HMIs, VSDs, and instrumentation.
• Program and commission PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and configure SCADA systems.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Perform system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis for electrical and automation issues.
• Ensure designs and implementations comply with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, and clients to define system requirements and deliver solutions.

Requirements
