About the Role

Our client, a pioneering firm in advanced sensor technology, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer to join their esteemed, fully remote team. This position is ideal for an individual who excels in designing and developing complex electronic hardware from concept through to production. You will play a crucial role in innovating and refining the electrical components of our cutting‑edge sensor systems, contributing to breakthroughs in various industrial applications. The role demands a rigorous approach to design, simulation, and testing, ensuring the highest standards of performance and reliability. Collaboration will be primarily digital, involving close interaction with cross‑functional teams, including firmware engineers, mechanical designers, and product managers, all operating remotely. This role offers the unique advantage of working from your dedicated home office, providing exceptional flexibility and autonomy. You will be empowered to take ownership of challenging design projects and drive technical solutions forward in a fast‑paced, innovative environment. We are looking for a candidate with a proven history of success in hardware design and a passion for pushing the boundaries of electronic engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and validate complex analog and digital electronic circuits and systems.
  • Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOM) using industry‑standard EDA tools.
  • Perform circuit simulations and analyses to predict performance, identify potential issues, and optimize designs.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and debugging of prototype hardware to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with firmware and software engineers to integrate hardware and ensure seamless system operation.
  • Specify and select electronic components, considering performance, cost, and availability.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues encountered during development, production, and field deployment.
  • Contribute to product architecture decisions and technology roadmaps.
  • Document designs, test results, and technical specifications comprehensively.
  • Stay current with emerging hardware technologies and best practices in electronics design.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of hands‑on experience in electrical hardware design and development.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro).
  • Solid understanding of analog circuit design, digital logic, microcontrollers, and embedded systems.
  • Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for effective remote collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with hardware design for challenging environments (e.g., temperature extremes, EMI/EMC).
  • A portfolio of successful hardware design projects is a plus.
Benefits

Our client offers a competitive annual salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance. Enjoy the significant advantage of a fully remote work arrangement, allowing for unparalleled flexibility and work‑life balance. Professional development opportunities, including access to online training, workshops and relevant industry conferences, are provided.
