Job summary

A global inspection and certification firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer to produce cost-effective designs supporting project deliverables. The role requires 5 to 25 years of experience in the EPC/EPCM environment, ideally in the mining or petrochemical sectors. The successful candidate will have a B. Sc/B. Eng. or B. Tech (Electrical) degree, with knowledge of project management and electrical distribution systems. This position is based in Heidelberg, Gauteng, South Africa.

Qualifications

• Experience between 5 to 25 years in EPC/EPCM environment, ideally mining/petrochemical.
• Knowledge of project management methods and all project life cycle phases.
• Ability to communicate technical specifications clearly.

Responsibilities

• Produce cost-effective and technically sound electrical designs.
• Manage projects to ensure discipline strategy development.
• Review and approve cable schedules and discipline-specific designs.
