Job description

The successful candidate will lead and support the design, implementation, and maintenance of high and medium voltage electrical systems across various projects in the utility, industrial, and renewable energy sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of HV (High Voltage) and MV (Medium Voltage) electrical systems (up to 400kV).
• Prepare technical specifications, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and protection schemes.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies.
• Review and approve vendor documentation and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant international standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.) and local regulations.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of HV/MV systems.
• Provide technical guidance to Junior Engineers and support Project Managers.
• Liaise with clients, utilities, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in HV/MV systems engineering.
• Strong knowledge of power system design, protection, and control.
• Proficiency in software such as ETAP, DigSILENT PowerFactory, AutoCAD, or similar.
