Job summary

A reputable engineering firm in Johannesburg is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to support various project phases. This role requires a BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering and 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in renewable energy. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, familiarity with engineering design tools, and the ability to oversee multiple projects effectively.

Qualifications

Job description

Overview

Our client based in Johannesburg North is seeking a talented, highly motivated, and self-driven Electrical Engineer. The Engineer will provide engineering support to Asset Management, Construction Management, IFG, and Project Development teams across the portfolio of projects within the Group, during development, construction, and operational phases of the projects. The role will report directly to the Head of Energy Operations.

Qualifications

BEng or BSc (Eng.) in Electrical, Mechatronic or Electronic Engineering (other streams can be motivated).

Experience

5 - 7 years' experience in engineering design and / or project management (within the renewable energy industry preferred). Ability to work across multiple work streams, projects, and contracts. People and team management experience.

Technical Skills

• Experience with relevant programmes (AutoCAD, PV Syst, Wind Syst)
• Optional: Homer

Has Driver's License and own car – site visits are required. Commercial competency. Budget management. Risk management.
