About the Company

We are looking for an individual with 10 years’ experience as registered ECSA - Pr Eng and design within the Building Services Sector. The position is based Alberton branch servicing other branches.

Responsibilities

• +5 years’ experience post qualification in the Building Services Sector with ECSA Registration OR
• +8 years’ experience post qualification in the Building Services Sector but without ECSA registration OR
• +12 years’ experience post Matric in the Building Services Sector without tertiary qualification nor ECSA registration.
• Competent Lighting, Small Power Design and Reticulation, UPS, NurseCall, Transformer Installation, Emergency Power System Design, Fire Detection System Design, Public Address System Design and other Electrical Systems for Building Services.
• Competent to run a project from condition assessment, inception up to project handover stage with minimal to no supervision (Stage 01 - 06).
• Able to run the project financial management aspect comfortably with minimum to no supervision e.g. budgeting, payment certification, cost reporting, doing final accounts etc.
• Must be able to run medium size (service value of +10 million) comfortably without supervision, to large size (service value of +R30 million) projects with minimal to no supervision.
• Must be able to prepare cashflows accurately and capture projects to be invoiced and quantum to be invoiced on a monthly basis.
• Liaise with finance on a regular basis and give cashflows of what needs to be invoiced on monthly basis as accurately as possible.
• Must be able to train and mentor junior employees.
• Must adhere to the Engineering Procedures and documentation standards as specified by MEKAN QMS System.
• Experience in client liaison, professional teams’ engagements, meetings and site supervision.
• Experience in writing good and quality technical reports.
• Experience in doing feasibility studies and reports.
• Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• ECSA Pr Eng Registration mandatory.
• Must be willing to travel and work long hours for project requirement’s purpose.
• Have a Driver’s License (with his/her own car).
• Must be willing to travel.
