Ideal candidates bring extensive electrical drafting leadership, senior supervision experience, and proficiency in Bentley MicroStation V8i, with a focus on meeting tight project timelines and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Engineering/Draughting (NQF Level 6, 240 credits).
• Minimum 8 years' electrical draughting experience.
• Experience supervising a drawing office or draughting team.
• Proficiency in work planning, scheduling, and resource management.
• Bentley MicroStation V8i experience; 3D modelling advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day operations of the drawing office.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate draughting personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
• Plan, schedule, and allocate drawing office resources.
• Develop, implement, and maintain drafting standards and procedures.
• Produce and oversee the preparation of high-quality electrical engineering drawings.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, compliant, and meet required quality standards.
• Review, check, correct, and approve engineering drawings before issue.
• Monitor drawing production schedules and provide accurate time estimates.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure design requirements are achieved.
• Maintain document control and drawing revision processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the drawing office.
