You will provide expert technical support on-site and remotely, troubleshoot complex fluid challenges, and ensure that fluid programs meet geological and operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering.
• 8+ years of drilling fluids engineering experience.
• Ability to manage and optimize drilling fluid systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage drilling fluid programs tailored to well objectives and formations.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage drilling fluid programs tailored to specific well objectives and geological formations.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to drilling operations, ensuring fluid systems perform optimally.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex drilling fluid issues, such as lost circulation, wellbore instability, and formation damage.
• Monitor drilling fluid performance, analyze data, and recommend adjustments to optimize drilling efficiency and safety.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding drilling fluid disposal and management.
• Evaluate new drilling fluid technologies and additives to improve performance and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in drilling fluids engineering, with a strong understanding of fluid chemistry and rheology.
• Proven ability to manage and optimize drilling fluid systems in various drilling environments.
• Experience with solids control equipment and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and mentor junior engineers.
