Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Senior role within the Cape Town Design Office.
• Experience in planning and managing Design Office resources and deliverables.

Skills

2D drafting from concept to detailed engineering

Working in coordinate space and transforming data

Processing raw survey data and generating contours

Setting out and detailing civil services

Calculating cut and fill volumes

Reinforcing details and schedules

Diagrams for study reports

Drafting of pipelines, breakwaters, navigation

Education

Relevant built environment drafting certificate or diploma

Job description

Applicants must meet the following requirements :

• 10 years' experience in drafting heavy infrastructure e.g. ports, bridges, water retaining structures, etc.
• Relevant built environment drafting certificate or diploma

Competency in :

• 2D drafting from concept to detailed engineering
• Working in coordinate space and being able to transform data
• Processing raw survey data and generating contours
• Setting out and detailing civil services
• Calculating cut and fill volumes
• Reinforcing details and schedules
• Diagrams for study reports
• Drafting of pipelines, breakwaters, navigation

Key responsibilities :

• Senior role within the Cape Town Design Office
• Candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in planning and managing Design Office resources and deliverables
• Candidate must be able to demonstrate a keen interest in mentoring and growing the department
