Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a fully remote position with a global technology firm. You will design and deploy advanced ML models, clean and prepare large datasets, and drive data-driven decisions across engineering, product, and BI teams.

You will mentor junior data scientists, develop experiments, build dashboards, and communicate insights to stakeholders. A strong background in statistics, ML, and cloud platforms is required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (CS, stats, math, physics, econ).
• 5+ years of professional data science experience with impact.
• Proficiency in Python or R and libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Strong SQL and database experience for extraction and manipulation.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, NumPy).
• Strong experience with SQL and database technologies for data extraction and manipulation.
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, deep learning), and experimental design.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
• Excellent data visualization skills and experience with tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
