Job summary

SASSO CONSULTING is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a major insurance sector client in Parktown. The role requires hands-on Databricks expertise, senior data engineering capabilities, and strong Python/PySpark and SQL skills. 2–3 days onsite per week in a Parktown office is non-negotiable.

The position offers a hybrid work model and a rate within the stated budget. The candidate will develop and maintain scalable data platforms, perform ETL/ELT and data pipeline work,

Working Model: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week in the Parktown office (non-negotiable)
Rate: Maximum R700/hour
Level: Senior

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a well-established organisation within the insurance sector.
The successful candidate must have strong, proven, hands-on Databricks experience. This is an absolute non-negotiable requirement, and candidates with only limited exposure to Databricks will not be considered.
