Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Data Engineer to design and implement data models, ETL pipelines, and dashboards. You will work with cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into production-ready solutions and drive data-driven decision making.

The role requires strong SQL and Python skills, experience with BI tools such as Power BI/Tableau, and familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure, Databricks). On-site position based in Randburg, South Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with data engineering and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into sustainable data solutions from planning to production.
• Analyse and visualise data sets to provide data-driven insights.
• Ensure adherence to standards and participate in solution reviews.
• Lead delivery within squads and mentor junior engineers.
• Develop data models, ETL processes, and pipelines for ingestion and transformation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data needs and priorities.
• Create dashboards and reports to track key metrics.
• Document data models, lineage, and data flow.
