Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data quality and availability for analytics. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into scalable solutions and robust data infrastructure.

The candidate will work with Snowflake/Redshift, AWS, and various data sources (CSV/JSON) to deliver reliable data processing and storage for business insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Implement and maintain data warehousing and data storage solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation and cleansing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

5-10 years’ Experience in data warehousing design and development (Kimball)
