Job summary

Röhlig-Grindrod (PTY) LTD in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Specialist for the IT Department. You will drive data analysis strategy, gather and analyze data, ensure data integrity, partner with business units and manage analytics projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of analytics experience, strong BI (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL skills, and experience with predictive modeling and ML (Azure ML). Knowledge of logistics/ FMCG domains is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of data analytics experience, preferably in a large company.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Experience

• Financial Analysis and deep understanding of data extraction and manipulation of data techniques.
• Proficient in Power BI, Tableau and SQL.
• Proficiency with building predictive models in a suitable programming language, as well as proficiency with Microsoft applications. Exposure to Machine Learning programs (ie. MS Azure ML)
• Highly skilled at simplifying complex data into simple written analysis including the use of visual representations of data outputs.
• Experience using analytics techniques (AI/Machine Learning, Econometrics, Operations Research, Statistics, Root Cause Diagnostics) to solve for defined business problems.
