Duties & Responsibilities

Our client NPO in Education is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their team on a 3-year fixed term contract. This is a unique opportunity for a mission-driven systems-oriented professional to work at the intersection of education data and public sector support. The ideal candidate will be a skilled relationship-builder a patient and strategic thinker and an experienced project manager with a strong grasp of data systems and / or technology for development. The role requires hands‑on expertise in data collection and analysis the ability to communicate data insights effectively to diverse audiences and the skill to strengthen the capacity of government partners and colleagues.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualification :

Minimum of an Honours degree or equivalent in Economics Education Health Public Policy Data Science International Development Computer Science or a related field.

Experience :

• 5 8 years of experience in project management public sector support education public health or technology solution development.
• Hands‑on technical fluency in data analysis and digital tools (e.g. Stata R SurveyCTO Power BI or similar) including the ability to independently analyse visualise and interpret complex datasets.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences and build capacity in data literacy.
• Demonstrated ability to work in complex dynamic and evolving environments with a focus on impact and results
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work sensitively within government systems.
• Experience working with data systems or technology for development.
• Background in monitoring & evaluation and education assessments (e.g. EGRA EGMA) is a benefit
• Proficiency in an official South African language other than English (e.g. isiZulu seSotho) is a distinct benefit
• Valid Drivers License
• Willing to travel to other provinces
