Job summary

Exceed HR and Recruitment in Paarl is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to analyse business operations and identify key performance drivers across multiple estates. You will build Power BI reports and dashboards, and manage BI projects from requirements to deployment.

The role requires a tertiary degree and at least five years in BI or data analytics, with advanced Power BI and SQL skills, plus the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver accurate, actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Degree in IS, CS, statistics, maths, economics or business analytics.
• Minimum 5 years in BI, data analytics or similar.
• Advanced Power BI skills: DAX, Power Query, data modelling and Power BI Service.
• Experience with or willingness to work with Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to analyse complex datasets.
• Proven ability to develop meaningful business metrics, KPIs and reporting solutions.
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation and reporting accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

• Relevant tertiary degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or Business Analytics.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or a similar role.
• Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query, data modelling and Power BI Service.
• Experience with or strong willingness to work with Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong SQL skills and experience analysing complex datasets.
• Proven ability to develop meaningful business metrics, KPIs and reporting solutions.
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation and reporting accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Experience with Tableau or Google Data Studio advantageous.

• Exposure to AI-enabled analytics and self-service reporting tools advantageous.
• Experience with Jira and documentation tools advantageous.
• Afrikaans proficiency advantageous.
