Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Crypto Trader to join our investment firm in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will design, implement, and manage crypto trading strategies across multiple assets, balancing risk and return in a fast-paced market.

The role blends office-based collaboration with remote market analysis. You should have at least 5 years in trading, including 3+ years in crypto, with strong quantitative skills, risk discipline, and experience with trading platforms and APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• Master's degree or CFA charter is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in trading, with at least 3 years specifically focused on cryptocurrency trading.
• Demonstrated success in managing trading books and achieving profitable results.
• Deep understanding of various cryptocurrency assets, blockchain technology, and market microstructure.
• Proficiency in technical and fundamental analysis tools.
• Experience with trading platforms, APIs, and algorithmic trading strategies.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent risk management capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, 24/7 market environment, leveraging both office-based and remote capabilities.
