A government agency in Pretoria is seeking a Senior Copyright Specialist to manage copyright rights and provide legal support. The ideal candidate must have over ten years of experience in the copyright field and a relevant LLB degree. Responsibilities include managing collecting societies, developing policy positions, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
To manage the provision of collective management of rights in copyright, provide legal support and policy promotion on copyright and the impact of applicable regulation, disseminate the findings and positions and co-ordinate activities with multilateral agencies and other relevant authorities
A relevant LLB Degree
Applicants may, as a step in the recruitment process, be subjected to competency assessment. In addition, the successful candidate must be prepared to undergo a process of security clearance prior to appointment.
Qualifications and SA citizenship checks will be conducted on the successful candidate. It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
It will be expected of candidates to be available for selection interviews on a date, time and place as determined by CIPC.
