Conveyancing Attorney Sandton

We are seeking an experienced Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer to lead and manage high-volume conveyancing matters, ensuring excellent turnaround times, risk control, and compliance across the full conveyancing lifecycle. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing a conveyancing department / team within a conveyancing firm or high-volume property law environment.

Salary: Market related

Minimum Requirements
  • Admitted Attorney & Conveyancer (South Africa).
  • 10+ years post-admission conveyancing experience.
  • Experience managing a conveyancing department or team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full conveyancing lifecycle, including: Property transfers (including complex matters), Bond registrations, Bond cancellations
  • Strong working knowledge of: South African property law, Deeds Office processes, timelines, and key risk points, Compliance requirements impacting conveyancing transactions
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end conveyancing process across transfers, bond registrations, and cancellations.
  • Lead and support a conveyancing team / department to ensure quality delivery, productivity, and service excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to Deeds Office requirements, timelines, and transaction milestones.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate legal and operational risks throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements affecting property transactions.
  • Maintain high standards of client service and stakeholder management (agents, banks, developers, and internal teams).
