Placements24 is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join a fully remote team delivering advanced automation solutions worldwide. You will design, program, and deploy PLC/DCS systems, develop control strategies, and lead projects from concept to commissioning while collaborating with distributed engineers and clients.

The ideal candidate has a Master''s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, 7+ years in industrial controls, and hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in industrial controls and automation engineering.
• Hands-on experience with PLC and DCS platforms.
• Expertise in motion control, robotics integration, and servo tuning.
• Knowledge of Profinet, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP/IP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, program, and debug complex PLC and DCS systems for industrial automation applications.
• Architect and implement advanced control strategies, including fuzzy logic, adaptive control, and predictive control algorithms.
• Lead the technical development of control system projects, from conceptualization through to commissioning and support.
• Collaborate with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers in a remote team environment using virtual collaboration tools.
• Perform system integration, network configuration, and ensure the cybersecurity of control systems.
• Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for control systems remotely and, occasionally, on-site if required.
