Job summary

Lycopodium Africa is recruiting an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Project Services team in Cape Town. You will lead the contracts management function, oversee tendering and contract administration, and provide expert commercial guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting to the Manager: PSG & Commercial, you will manage negotiations, variations and disputes, ensuring compliance with contract forms (FIDIC/NEC) and company policies while developing a high-performing contracts

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Law or related discipline.
• Professional certification in contract management is advantageous.
• 10+ years' experience in contract management within mining, engineering or construction.
• Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (FIDIC/NEC) and commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of contract management policies and practices.
• Provide expert contract and commercial advice to project teams.
• Oversee tendering, procurement, contract awards and administration.
• Manage negotiations, claims, variations, extensions of time and disputes.
• Ensure compliance with obligations, policies and legislation.
