Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of clients' overall benefits (e.g. medical scheme, retirement fund, group risk, wellness programmes etc.).
- Conduct annual reviews (benefit and cost comparison) of all benefits.
- Propose strategies geared towards mitigating the risks identified, improving efficiencies, and leveraging business opportunities within each client.
- Facilitate and manage meetings (internal and external) with an outcome in mind.
- Ensure adherence to time allocated, promote interaction and control focus to discussion points.
- Ensure execution of strategies and services planned for each year within the time allocated.
- Develop and maintain a good relationship with the HR / Payroll Team, HR Management and the Executive Team.
- Take ownership of and resolve elevated service delivery complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring root causes are identified and addressed to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance to Service Level Agreements and Turn Around Times.
- Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with key service providers (e.g., Discovery Health, Sanlam, Momentum).
- Manage a team of Member Consultants by communicating their roles and responsibilities and assisting them with their workflow.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities within your portfolio of clients and create a platform / opportunity for the relevant sales team to close the deal.
Requirements & Qualifications
- BCom, BSc or relevant qualification.
- The Senior Consultant would be required to be compliant with the legislative requirements of the industry.
- FAIS Fit & Proper compliance (NQF Level 5, Regulatory Exams) Class of Business and CMS Registration; 3-5 years' experience in Employee Benefits Consulting.
- Must have own vehicle and valid driver's licence.
