Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Computer Vision Engineer to join a distributed engineering team. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to lead state-of-the-art CV projects, develop and deploy deep learning models, and collaborate with experts across the globe.

You will design and optimize vision systems, work with TensorFlow or PyTorch, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring robust testing and scalable deployment pipelines in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with CV/ML focus.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in computer vision engineering.
• Strong proficiency with Python and CV/ML libraries.
• Experience with data augmentation, model optimization and deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, train, and deploy computer vision models (detection, segmentation, tracking).
• Implement and optimize deep learning architectures (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Process and analyze large image/video datasets with quality control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into specs.
• Stay current with CV/ML research and apply innovations.
• Test and validate models for accuracy, robustness, and efficiency.
• Optimize models for performance on various hardware and edge devices.
• Contribute to reusable code libraries and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and share expertise within the team.
