Placements24 seeks a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to join its advanced technology division in Port Elizabeth. You will design, develop, and optimize CV algorithms for object detection, tracking, and segmentation, while implementing DL models for image/video processing.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Computer Vision or Machine Learning.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in computer vision development and implementation.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python, and experience with OpenCV and scikit-image.
• Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize computer vision algorithms for applications such as object detection, tracking, recognition, and image segmentation.
• Implement and fine-tune deep learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch for image and video processing tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product managers, to integrate computer vision solutions into products.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of computer vision systems to ensure accuracy, performance, and robustness.
• Research and evaluate new computer vision techniques and technologies to enhance existing capabilities and explore novel applications.
• Contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and prototyping to deployment and maintenance of computer vision systems.

Requirements
