Placements24 seeks a Senior Computational Chemist for a cutting-edge R&D firm in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. You will advance molecular interactions and help develop novel materials and therapeutic compounds using state-of-the-art computational methods.

The role requires a PhD and 5+ years of relevant experience, with proficiency in Gaussian/AMBER/GROMACS/VASP/Q-Chem, programming in Python/C++/Fortran, and strong data analysis.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computational Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in computational chemistry research.
• Proven expertise with at least two major computational chemistry software packages (Gaussian, AMBER, GROMACS, VASP, Q-Chem).

Responsibilities
