YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer at Capgemini Engineering, you will contribute to a major energy infrastructure modernization program for a leading European transmission system operator. You’ll help build an innovative IT‑OT integration platform that connects critical EMS/SCADA systems with broader IT landscapes, supporting the “Control Room of the Future” initiative.

  • Design and develop backend applications in Java or Python with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Deploy containerized workloads to Kubernetes clusters using CI/CD and monitoring best practices.
  • Implement robust test coverage and resolve production issues through root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate in design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
  • Participate in periodic on‑call rotations to support mission‑critical services.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science).
  • Proven experience with production‑grade backend development in Java or Python.
  • Hands‑on experience deploying applications on Kubernetes and working with Apache Kafka.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Terraform) and cloud‑native architectures.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work on‑site in Arnhem 2–3 days per week.
