We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil & Structural Engineer with relevant design house experience to join our Civil & Structural Engineering team.

The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the job as summarised below, but not limited to:

• Design / manage design by others, of the civil and structural works in accordance with the requirements of the client.
• As Lead Engineer oversee and coordinate the execution of civil and structural engineering on projects.
• Liaise with other engineering disciplines and gather information required for the structural designs.
• Prepare design criteria and specifications.
• Prepare technical reports and project close-out reports.
• Compile the relevant portions of the contract schedule/assist to evaluate the contract schedule in collaboration with the Project Scheduler.
• During the course of the contract assist with monitoring the contract schedule and budget and make recommendations for appropriate action as and when required.
• Perform technical adjudication of tenders.

Your profile

The ideal candidate must be in possession of:

• A BSc / B.Eng. (Civil Engineering)
• Be a Registered Professional Engineer with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
• 7 -15 years’ experience in the industrial engineering environment and petro- chemical plants with the emphasis on reinforced concrete and structural steel engineering is essential.
