Job summary

Communicate Finance seeks a senior civil engineer to lead consulting projects in the Western Cape. You will manage from planning to completion, supervise designs, reviews and site inspections, and mentor junior staff.

You will handle budgets, schedules, and stakeholder coordination with clients and contractors, produce reports and tender documents, and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of consulting engineering project delivery experience.
• Experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, planning and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in civil design software and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in quality assurance, cost control and construction supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from planning through to completion.
• Oversee civil engineering designs, technical reviews and site inspections.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources and deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare and review technical reports, tender documents and bills of quantities.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, health and safety requirements, and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
