Role requires 7+ years in civil infrastructure, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit and GIS, and ECSA registration is preferred. Hybrid work and competitive remuneration are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Professional registration with ECSA is highly preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit and GIS software.
• Strong knowledge of SA standards (SANS) and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of civil infrastructure projects (roads, drainage, water).
• Perform site investigations, feasibility studies and impact assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, stormwater systems, and water reticulation.


• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments.


• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.


• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.


• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, regulations, and client requirements.


• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.


• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to ensure project success.


• Review and approve design calculations and drawings prepared by team members.


• Participate in tender evaluations and contribute to business development efforts.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.


• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.


• Professional registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) is highly preferred.


• Proven experience in using civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and GIS.


• Strong understanding of South African National Standards (SANS) and relevant legislation.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.


• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.


• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.


• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally to project sites.
