Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to drive capital projects in Randburg. You will lead process design, supervise a team of engineers, and manage timelines and budgets to ensure safety, environmental, and operational standards are met on large-scale chemical plant expansions.

Ideal candidates bring a strong track record in process design, simulations, and project engineering, with at least 10 years of experience and a minimum of 5 years on capital projects.

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
10+ years of progressive experience in process engineering, with at least 5 years focused on capital project execution.
Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
In-depth knowledge of process design principles, simulation software, and project engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Lead the process engineering aspects of capital projects, from conceptual design through to detailed engineering, commissioning, and handover.
Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment specifications, and material and energy balances.
Manage and mentor a team of process engineers assigned to capital projects.
Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
Collaborate closely with project managers, other engineering disciplines, vendors, and construction teams.
Perform technical reviews and ensure the operability, reliability, and safety of designed processes.

This leadership role will be responsible for the process design and engineering of major plant expansions and new facility constructions. You will lead a team of engineers, manage project timelines, budgets, and ensure that all process designs meet stringent safety, environmental, and operational standards.
