A cosmetics company in Gauteng seeks a Senior Campaign Planner to deliver and analyze marketing campaigns. The role includes creating brochures and monitoring stock, requiring strong marketing and analytical skills along with advanced Excel knowledge. Candidates should have a marketing degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience. This position offers an opportunity to impact campaign strategies and drive results.
The Senior Campaign Planner is responsible for delivering campaigns in line with Marketing plans and financial targets on schedule deadlines and for tracking and analysing campaign performance from ideation to brochure proof checking to post campaign analysis.Responsibilities1.
Assists with the Campaign Planning Schedule & Process executionPrepare monthly campaign packs and obtains director signatures after approval in Sign off meetingPrepare weekly narratives, monthly MPR slides and post campaign reviewsApprove Frozen Zone documentation and assists with obtaining approval internallyCompiles and circulates minutes of various business process meetings for actioning by responsible partiesparties2.
Brochure execution processCreate brochure paginations to deliver brochure platform targets and campaign / category strategies.Responsible for implementing all changes on pagination as a result of the campaign and creative review meetings.Create Leader list onto Merchandising Database and update as Campaign pagination and pricing / offers change.Tracks campaign brochure content vs planned pack via brochure proof checking - championing the CASO (changes after sign off) process and accuracy of foreign pricing in the brochure.Prepares test invoicing and COBO testing.Attends daily stock meeting and communicates action requirements to Category teamCoordinates category contingency proposals for approval by Campaign Manager and Marketing Director based on trend reportResponsible for execution of contingency plan – coordinates across Operations and Marketing to ensure successful outcomeDrives to plan strong brochures / campaign content based on prior year learnings, ensuring energy through strategic newness focus and strong customer focused offers throughout the brochure.3.
Supports inventory managementMonitors stock on hand and coordinates excess reduction plans with Category team and Manager.Participates in inventory control meetings and assists with executing plans to reduce inventory levels.Attends Monthly Readiness meetings and coordinates communication compilation by Category team in time for Campaign opening4.
Supports Category managementCompiles offer comparison per Campaign to ensure all unit movers and net sales movers are anniversaried from previous year results to result in business growth per Category.Monitor pricing of offers and advises where necessary to avoid margin loss of sales due to aggressive price increases or low pricing.Ensure that the pricing strategy is being implemented in each Campaign, flag any discrepancies to the Category Managers and Campaign Planning Manager.Ensure that the brand flow strategy is being implemented in each Campaign, flag any discrepancies to the Category Managers and Campaign Planning Manager.5.
Reporting and Data ManagementResponsible for data cleansing and creating reports on Merch File.Ensure individual SKU's are loaded into correct segments and brands and where necessary escalate error to Category Managers for amendment.With implementation of Merchandising System to run specific reports like Source of Sales, Category Statistics, Segment reports, Newness reports, Price analysis, KPI tracking etc.Supply information to Demand Planning for compilation of Forecast accuracy reporting.6.
Continuous monitoring, analysis and measurement of campaign resultsDaily Sales Tracking report to be communicated to all stakeholders.Responsible for preparing the trend reports from a campaign perspective and drafting the commentary (Weekly Narratives)Responsible for preparing contingency plans and business cases based on the trend reportAccountable for the production of the contingency plan-briefing the contingency plan into the department and execution of the plan.Pricing analysis to be done in preparation decks for Sign Off and price increase tracking in Post Campaign Analysis reports i.e. Post Mortem.Prepares and balances the data for Packs providing analysis and recommendations for Campaign Review meetings.Sign Off decks to be prepared with all relevant analysis for Merchandising Manager to present at Sign Off meetingspiles and co-ordinates monthly Postmortem report for meetings.7.
Manage the Campaign Planning Schedule & ProcessUpdate the Campaign Manager with delays / changes required to the Campaign Schedule.Prepares all monthly and quarterly results to be presented at Quarterly Planning conferencesMinutes key learnings in Planning Conferences recording data for future campaigns and communicating actions to all participants.Prepares financial targets and boards for Quarterly Planning meetings and facilitates the ideation of future campaigns ensuring strong plans are in place by end of Planning.9.
Creative Briefs and Brochure proofsResponsible for reviewing brochure and ensuring estimates are reflecting the merchandising, activation and creative support or focus in the brochure.Accountable for the monthly paginations for the brochure and review of confidence leaflet.Responsible for creative brochure briefs and creating briefs for multi category spreadsResponsible to attend and participate in the creative brief and creative reviewsResponsible for reviewing brochure and ensuring it meets campaign brief and objectives.Responsible for implementing all changes as a result of the campaign & creative review meetings.QualificationsB.
