Senior Business Developer

We are currently seeking a Senior Business Developer, to be based in Sandton, Gauteng.

The Senior Business Developer will be reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and managing private PPA projects opportunities within the renewable sector.
• Managing negotiations and doing bid preparation.
• Identifying and pursuing tender opportunities within the renewable sector.
• Conducting due diligence of projects for acquisition.
• Engaging with potential off-takers for private PPA opportunities.
• Preparing and presenting all project documentation required to secure a project development budget.
• Managing the overall project development from origination to financial close.
• Analyzing the project risk allocation.
• Negotiating and finalizing documents such as PPA's, EPC and O&M arrangements, and Shareholders' agreements.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Finance or Economics.
• MBA would be advantageous.
• 5 - 7 years' experience working in the renewable energy sector.
• More than 4 years' experience in business development.
• Experience bringing projects to financial close.
• Knowledge of agreements such as Power Purchase Agreements, partnership agreements, off-take agreements, and shareholder agreements.
