A leading consulting firm in Gauteng is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business objectives and IT solutions. The role involves gathering and analyzing requirements, managing stakeholders, and leading process improvement initiatives. Candidates should have at least 8 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in financial services or technology, and a strong background in project management tools such as Jira and Confluence. A Senior Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business objectives and IT solutions, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into effective system requirements and functional specifications.
This role often requires leadership in driving project success, managing stakeholders, and analyzing business operations to improve efficiency.
Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. A relevant postgraduate qualification or certification (e.g. CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar) will be advantageous. Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Business Analyst, with proven success in leading business analysis or process improvement initiatives within financial services, technology, or consulting environments.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques (e.g. process mapping, data analysis, use cases, workflow diagrams). Working knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project. Solid understanding of systems design, functional specifications, and requirements documentation.
Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
