Job summary

A manufacturing company based in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper. Responsibilities include monthly bookkeeping functions, statutory return submissions, and managing queries with SARS. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Excel, and must have worked in the manufacturing industry. A Grade 12 education is essential.

Job Responsibilities

• All Monthly bookkeeping functions up to Trial Balance – Asset register, Cash Book, Journals, Bank Reconciliation's, Petty Cash, Debtors, Creditors, Debtors & Creditors Reconciliation's & Age analysis, Debt Collections, VAT & PAYE Returns.
• Compiling and submitting monthly and annual statutory and other statutory returns.
• Other admin or financial duties as required by the directors or clients.
• Submit EMP returns.
• Submit EMP reconciliations, Complete and Submit employees IT3 and IRP5 certificates.
• COIDA (Workmens compensation return of earnings submissions and the new RMA system return submissions).
• Monthly VAT calculations, Submit VAT returns.
• Dealing with all SARS related enquiries.
• Experience with CGIC applications & declarations.
• GRV – Stock card reconciliations.
• Process JOB costing receipt.
• Loading payments on Bank.
• Inventory Journals.
• Stock management.

Candidate Requirements

• Grade 12.
• 3-5 years' experience as Senior Bookkeeper.
• Experience in the Manufacturing Industry is a must.
• 5 years bookkeeping experience.
• Proficient in Excel.
