Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Bioinformatician to join a fully remote drug discovery team. You will leverage large-scale omics data to identify drug targets and biomarkers and collaborate with computational biologists, chemists, and data scientists across a globally distributed team.

The ideal candidate has a PhD and at least five years of bioinformatics experience in drug discovery, with proficiency in Python or R and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry or academic experience in bioinformatics, with a focus on drug discovery.
• Proficiency in Python or R and experience with bioinformatics libraries and tools.
• Strong experience with omics data types and analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
