Job summary

Network Finance in South Africa seeks an experienced Analytics Engineer to design and deliver Power BI dashboards, data models, and KPI reporting. You will analyse data to uncover insights and support data-driven decisions.

The role includes PySpark development in Microsoft Fabric, SQL optimisation, and collaboration with business teams to ensure governance and scalable BI solutions. 4+ years of analytics experience required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in Analytics Engineering.
• Experience with PySpark notebooks and Microsoft Fabric or Apache Spark.
• Strong SQL and Power BI reporting skills.
• Knowledge of data modelling and data warehousing principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse and related data platforms.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

• Ensure data accuracy, governance, and documentation.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver BI solutions.
• Support best practices, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.

Job Experience and skill required

• Degree / diploma in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or related
• 4+ years experience in Analytics Engineering
• Experience developing PySpark notebooks within Microsoft Fabric or Apache Spark Environments
• Strong SQL, PowerBI semantic models, dashboards, and reporting solutions
• Experience with Microsoft Data Platform (Microsoft Fabric, PowerBI, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory)
• Experience in Python, Data Modelling, Data Warehousing Principles
