You will be responsible for consultations, makeup application, and ensuring clients look and feel their absolute best on their special day or for demanding photoshoots. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio, an intimate knowledge of diverse skin tones and types, and the creativity to adapt to various styles and trends. Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and event/shoot requirements for makeup.
• Create and execute a wide range of makeup looks, from natural and elegant bridal beauty to bold editorial styles.
• Apply makeup with precision and artistry, ensuring longevity and photogenic results.
• Skilled in all aspects of makeup artistry, including foundation matching, contouring, highlighting, eyeshadow application, and corrective techniques.
• Maintain an immaculate kit of high-quality makeup products and tools, ensuring sanitation and organization.
• Stay updated on the latest makeup trends, techniques, and product innovations in the beauty industry.
• Collaborate with photographers, stylists, and clients to achieve the desired aesthetic for photoshoots and events.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for clients.
• Manage bookings and schedule effectively to meet client demands.
• Represent the company professionally at all times, upholding its brand image and standards of excellence.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a Makeup Artist, with a significant focus on bridal and editorial work.
• A comprehensive and impressive portfolio showcasing diverse makeup styles and artistry.
• Expertise in working with various skin types, tones, and ages.
• Proficiency in current makeup trends and techniques for both natural and high-fashion looks.
• Excellent understanding of color theory and facial structure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients from different backgrounds.
• Professional demeanor, reliability, and punctuality.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required for events.
• Own a professional and extensive makeup kit.
• Must reside in or be willing to travel to assignments within Paarl, Western Cape, ZA and surrounding areas.
