Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Data Analyst to join our data and analytics team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with AWS cloud services, large datasets, and advanced analytics to deliver actionable business insights. This role will begin as a 6-month contract with a strong potential to convert into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions on AWS cloud platforms.
• Analyze complex datasets to generate meaningful insights and support data-driven decision making.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, data models, and dashboards.
• Work with AWS services such as Redshift, Athena, Glue, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across cloud environments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and product teams to understand requirements.
• Optimize performance and cost of AWS data solutions.
• Document processes, data flows, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with large datasets.
• Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
