Placements24 seeks a skilled Avionics Systems Engineer to join a growing aviation team in Tembisa, South Africa. The role centers on design, integration, testing, and support of complex avionics for the aircraft fleet.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure reliability, performance, and safety while applying cutting-edge avionics technology and adhering to international standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in avionics systems engineering within the aviation industry.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
• Experience with avionics testing equipment and simulation tools.
• Familiarity with aviation standards and regulations (EASA, FAA).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in Tembisa.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement avionics system configurations and upgrades.
• Integrate new avionics hardware and software components into existing aircraft systems.
• Perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting of avionics equipment and software.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure component compliance.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including installation guides, test procedures, and system schematics.
• Provide technical support to maintenance crews and flight operations regarding avionics systems.
