Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive automotive mechanical design and development experience.
• Expert proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and simulation software.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and vehicle dynamics.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Proven leadership capabilities and experience managing technical projects.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and development of automotive mechanical systems (powertrain, chassis, suspension).

You will play a lead role in the design, development, and testing of complex automotive systems and components, driving projects from concept to production. This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical principles, advanced CAD/CAE tools, and a passion for automotive technology. You will contribute significantly to shaping the future of our client's vehicle offerings within the Gauteng province.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of automotive mechanical systems, including powertrain, chassis, and suspension components.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) for detailed part and assembly design, and CAE tools for simulation and analysis (e.g., FEA, CFD).
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of designed components and systems, analyzing results and implementing design modifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists, to ensure seamless integration.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for project reviews and management.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.
