Job summary

A South African health department is seeking a Chief Audiologist Grade 1 to lead and manage audiological services. Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in Audiology practice required.
• Current HPCSA registration for 2025/2026 as Audiologist necessary.
• Knowledge of public service regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assessment and management of individuals requiring hearing devices.
• Conduct audiological procedures, including assessments and fittings.
• Supervise and train team members in service delivery.

Skills

Management of a team and/or program

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to work under pressure

Excellent teamwork and conflict management skills

Education

Appropriate qualification for HPCSA registration

Completion of a short course in Additional Licensing in Cochlear Implants
